Seven CAA Football Players Named To Walter Camp FCS All-America Team
CAA Football led all conferences with seven players selected to the 2022 Walter Camp FCS All-America team.

Named to the squad were Monmouth running back Jaden Shirden, William & Mary offensive lineman Colby Sorsdal, Elon kicker Skyler Davis, William & Mary linebacker John Pius, Delaware linebacker Johnny Buchanan, Elon defensive back Marcus Hillman and New Hampshire kick returner Dylan Laube.
The Walter Camp All-America team is one of the most difficult to make, with only 24 players honored. The Walter Camp Football Foundation has been selecting All-America teams for 133 years.
Shirden rushed for a FCS-best 1,722 yards and 13 touchdowns, topping the 100-yard mark in nine of his 11 games.
Sorsdal was the leader on a W&M offensive line that ranked fourth nationally in fewest sacks allowed (10) and third in rushing (265.8 ypg).

Davis converted 18-of-22 field goals, including 7-of-8 from better than 50 yards to tie a FCS record.
Pius recorded a team-best 72 tackles and ranked among the top 10 in FCS with 11.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss.
Buchanan led the nation with 150 total tackles, including five games with at least 15 stops.
Hillman filled the stat sheet with 83 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks and four forced fumbles.
Laube averaged 25.8 yards on kickoff returns and 13.7 yards on punt returns, to go along with 1,209 yards rushing.
